Our Holistic Approach

Our core belief is that true healing goes beyond surface-level solutions. Katie Nolin LMFT LCADC, one of our co-owners, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She believes that every individual is a unique being and her style is flexible to each client’s emotional, mental, personal, and developmental needs.

Our goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, together with Katie, we can work to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.

Tailored Care, Individualized Attention

By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Healing happens when we have something larger than ourselves to grow towards.
I believe that the quality of our connection to ourselves, our loved ones, and our community is essential to our well-being. All too often, because of past traumatic experiences, unfortunate events, or simply because of an inability to communicate, we become disconnected from those points of contact. In my approach to counseling, I believe that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the most important element in healing. When we don’t feel safe, heard, or understood it makes it difficult to own and/or speak our truth, and live our lives accordingly. I believe that my role as a therapist is not to be the expert of your life, rather, my job is to help facilitate a process of unfolding of your own understanding–one that brings you more clarity and insight regarding challenging or dysfunctional behaviors and/or feelings you may be experiencing. I aspire to empower you to achieve the goals that you identify, and to help bring awareness to areas that you feel may be holding you back.

I’ve worked primarily in the addictions field at both a residential facility and at an outpatient clinic. I have experience with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, self-esteem issues, adolescents and family and couples’ therapy. I have a second master’s in Transpersonal Psychology which has greatly influenced my understanding of the significance of connection as a healing agent. I incorporate mindfulness into my approach to build a solid foundation of listening to their thoughts, sensations, and feelings–thereby building a stronger connection to oneself, to cope with the stressors of daily life. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral approaches, narrative therapy, positive psychology, and solution focused therapy. There are as many paths to healing as there are people. I will meet you where you are at on your path and together, we will work towards the direction that best serves you to meet your needs.

Welcome to the journey of healing and transformation. As a therapist, my passion lies in guiding individuals through the darkest tunnels of their struggles, helping them emerge into the light of self-discovery and empowerment. With a background steeped in addiction, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, low self-esteem, and PTSD, I bring a wealth of experience and understanding to every session.

With dual masters in mental health and substance abuse, I offer a unique blend of expertise to those seeking solace and healing. My approach centers on embracing vulnerability as the gateway to profound healing, allowing individuals to blossom into the person they truly deserve to be.

In addition to traditional therapies, I am able to guide you through EMDR, a groundbreaking technique that facilitates healing on a deep level. Whether you’re navigating past traumas or facing current challenges, I am here to walk alongside you, offering support, guidance, and the unwavering belief that therapy can be a powerful weapon in reclaiming our lives.

Together, let’s rewrite your story, reclaim your power, and embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery.

I am licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have been in the mental health field for almost 10 years and have been a therapist for the last 4 of those years. Mental health has been a big staple all my life and that interest, passion, and knowledge has only grown since then.

I am currently trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and frequently do Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with my clients but have a person-centered approach first and foremost. That means what we talk about and what techniques I use will depend on what you need and what you are ready to work on.

Healing takes a lot of work and being healthy is challenging, but it is so worth it when we get to that space. I’m excited to begin this journey with you and see what we discover and work through together.
